Organic food basically refers to those foods which don’t have any sort of chemicals like pesticides and insecticides in them. Very occasionally natural fertilizers and even insect repellants and used on these. They don’t have any sort of artificial colors or flavors or even preservatives. Now we need to teach our children how to stay healthy by eating good food and a proper example of this is to eat organic food.
The best way to get your children to know about the benefits of organic food would be compare it with the everyday food. You can get labels or even cans of the different types of organic foods and then compare it with the labels of the non organic foods. Good choices of comparison would be to use chicken nuggets, frozen vegetables with organic chicken nuggets and fresh organic vegetables. You have to show your children the amounts of fat, salt and sugar which go in non organic food.
Another good way of showing your children than organic foods are good for you is to make an ice cream which is organic. You can even save a label form the usual ice cream in order to compare the one which you make to the inorganic one. All you have to do is mix around 2 cups of heavy cream which is organic along with ¾ cups of organic sugar and also 2/3 cups of an organic half and half. Then you mix this really well and you place it in an ice cream maker. Then while you see that the ice cream freezes you can compare labels.
You will find that inorganic ice cream will have a long list of preservative like monosodium glutamate, ammonium carbonate, ammonium alginate and so on. You have to make your children familiar with these names. You also have to ask them to buy things which don’t contain that. They should not opt for the ice creams which have long lists of chemicals in their labels. You can even teach them to plant organic gardens. This way they can simply use the fruits and vegetables from the gardens. They won’t have to worry about getting vegetables and fruits which have chemicals in them. You can start with plants which grow fast like radishes, lettuce and also tomatoes. As they learn how to garden properly they can move onto more complex things.

Looks like the baby sitter is joining team Oksana as the war between Mel Gibson and his ex Oksana Grigorieva continues. The latest allegation concluded that Mel had threatened to hit his very own daughter. According to his ex, Oksana, Mel asked her to like little Lucia or else he would hit her when they had a blow up. An incident which occurred on February 18th forced Oksana to walk out on Gibson and forced her to take her baby girl with her, for her daughters safety.
Allegation is going on which state that Gibson’s withdrawal from nicotine might have caused the rampage. Apparently on the 18th the couple had gathered for a tree planting ceremony on Mel’s Malibu mansion where a nice event had turned ugly when Mel accused Okasna for smiling a little too much at the gardener. A source tells us that Lucia had started crying so Oksana had to go back in followed by Mel.
The source also said that while they were inside Mel started ridiculing the accent that Oksana had and she roller her eyes at Mel which caused the volcano to erupt. And from that part onwards the fight just got ugly. Gibson had apparently hit Oksana damaging two of her teeth and in the process he had apparently hit his baby daughter, bruising her in the cheek as well.
Now according to the baby sitter, Mel had screamed into the phone saying that he wanted t destroy Oksana but who the threat was addressed to is not really clear. Apparently the sitter had also asked Oksana to come home because she thought that Mel was acting in an uncontrollable manner, she had also said that he was possessed. The baby sitter had left after Oksana had arrived and said that there wasn’t any violence in the home till then.
But the question is did any violence take place at all?? It all really depends on who you believe. But on the other hand, the baby sitter did not come forward because she is apparently quite scared of Mel and is also fighting cancer which is in the fourth stage. Looks like, it’s hard to judge if she is lying or not. But either way the drama still continues without any solution or any light to the truth about what happened that day and if at all Mel did hurt his wife and daughter.

Pisang Goreng (Banana Fritters Indonesian Style)
Ingredients:
• All purpose flour – 1 ¼ cup
• Granulated sugar – 2 tbsp
• Vanilla powder – ¼ tbsp
• Milk – ½ cup
• Egg – 1
• Butter (melted) – 2 tbsp
• Rum flavoring – 1 tsp
• Ripe bananas (sliced) – 4
• Oil ( 2 cups) – for frying
Method:
You need a large bowl in which you have to mix the sugar, vanilla power and the flour. Then you make a well right in the center and you pout the melted butter, the egg, milk and also the rum flavoring in it. Then you have to keep mixing this till you see that it has become smooth. Then you have to fold four banana slices into this mixture till you see that it has gotten coated evenly.
Then you need to heat the oil up in a wok or even a deep fryer will do. Set the temperature to 375 degrees. Then you have to drop the banana mixture into this hot oil using a table spoon. Fry this mixture till it has become crispy and golden brown. This is going to take you 15 minutes. Finally you have to remove the bananas from the oil and you drain it on paper towels and serve.
Telur Balado or Spiced Eggs with Chili Sauce
Ingredients:
• Vegetable oil for frying – 1 cup
• Hard boiled eggs (shells removed) – 6
• Red chili peppers (chopped and seeded) – 6
• Garlic cloves – 4
• Shallots (medium) – 4
• Tomatoes (quartered) – 2
• Shrimp paste – 1 tsp
• Peanut oil – 1 ½ tsp
• Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp
• White vinegar – 1 tsp
• White sugar – 1 tsp
• Salt and pepper – to taste
Method:
Heat a cup of oil in a sauce pan over medium heat. Then you deep fry the eggs till you see they have turned golden brown. This will take 5 minutes. Set this aside and combine the garlic, chili peppers, tomatoes, shallots, and also the shrimp paste in a processor and blend it. Then you add the peanut oil and then process this mix again.
In a skillet heat a tbsp of oil over a medium heat. Pour the mixture in the skillet and stir the vinegar, pepper, salt and sugar. Then you add the fried eggs and turn it to coat it. Finally reduce the heat and let it stay for 5 minutes.
