Now although most of us usually look at the bright side of the game of bingo, the wins, the prizes and so on. We fail to neglect the dark side too. Sometimes it is important to report the dark side of this game too. There was an attack on an elderly player who was playing a bingo game in a hall the previous week.
This elderly woman was in her middle seventies. She had tripped over her attacker’s legs as she was walking by her table. She (the attacker) had apparently very savagely lunged at the poor old woman after she asked the woman to keep her legs away from the aisle.
According to a witness, the old woman’s face was “black and blue afterwards. The attack went on for about five or ten minutes. It was a complete mismatch not just in terms of age but of size. I’m disgusted by the whole affair!” Apparently the gala had not helped when the fight was going on. This was done because the game was being played and they only helped after the game had ended.
Now the state of the woman is not confirmed but the hall employees say that one of the involved have been banned from the hall. Now going on to a lighter note. A bingo chat room has become Cupid! Catherine Whitehead had found her love interest on a certain bingo website. Now this 38 year old is busy with her wedding details all because of this website.
She met her finace Julian Brooke who is a 46 year old from Hull earlier back in the year. This all started with formal chatting messages in the chat room. Then this moved on and they started waiting for the other in the rooms online. This evolved to private conversations in the private rooms. After this came the swapping of the email ids.
After this came the IM’s and them webcam conversations. Finally they had their first phone conversation and they talked on the phone till 7 am in the morning since night. Although the couple aren’t living together at the moment and are in different cities they still stay in touch with the help of the chat rooms. So although there is a dark side to the world of bingo its nice to know that it helps to bring people close together and to promote love!
