One of the top stories of 2011 is the marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton at the Westminster Abbey. The wedding date is all set for April 29, making this one of the most looked forward to events in 2011. The Press release issued by the Palace has revealed a few details about the nuptials. This is hopefully the first of many press releases as the world is agog for further details of the wedding.

According to the details released, the service will start sharp at 11am. Kate will travel to the venue in a procession that will include Horse Guards Palace, Whitehall, London Mall and Parliament square. The ceremony is sure to be a grand one with at least three different clergymen taking active part.

The service will be conducted by the Dean of Westminster, the vows will be presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the address will be delivered by the bishop of London. With so many clerical bigwigs involved the ceremony is sure o be an impressive one. And so it should be as the entire world is waiting with bated breath for the event.

After the ceremony is wrapped up, William and Kate will return to Buckingham Palace in a magnificent Horse drawn Carriage. The big event does not end here as Queen Elizabeth will be hosting a reception for the young couple, followed by a dinner that will be hosted by Prince Charles. This is only the basic itinerary, and hopefully the first of many press releases to come.

Prince Harry is not completely left out of the limelight either. This time Harry gets to share the spotlight in the light of his brother’s big event. For a night Prince Harry managed to wrestle the attention away from his brother as he made an appearance at a private London club with ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy.

With the world counting days till the big fat April wedding, Prince Harry grabbed eyeballs and made headlines over the weekend renewing rumors of a link-up between the two. The two exited together in a Jaguar around 4 in the morning.
The car was subjected to stiff security with security guards flanking the car. The two seemed and acted quite normal and neither seemed to be affected by drink. They acted like it was quite a regular thing and climbed into the car. According to sources the two should be back together in no time at all.

Everyone knows that “Two and a Half Men� has fallen on troubled times, along with its lead protagonist Charlie Sheen. The man simply just can’t get enough of highs. What’s worse, the part about him recently going out and seeking help on his own? Well, it’s not true. Charlie might have checked into a rehab but it looks like he’s not going to be staying there! So much for self-help!

Want to hear something funny? Charlie will undergo treatment in the very same house where he hosted the party that got him into so much trouble in the first place! Talk about irony! Maybe the rehab wasn’t to your liking Charlie? Charlie has apparently gone and selected a team of medical professionals who are pretty good at their work and he trusts that they will get him to “sober up�… on a long term basis, according to the producer of America’s most popular sitcom, of which Sheen is the star.

Any guesses about the teams average vital stats? Yeah, I’m guessing they’re along the lines of 36-24-36 too! Ooh, Mr. Sheen, when money’s no object, then you can definitely afford to have the “very best� of health care right in the comfort of your home.

What is more, Mark Burg, the producer of Charlie’s show has gone on record to say that the team will work around Charlie’s medical schedule and continue shooting. He has said that if Charlie takes a break, then it could be a huge loss for employees and the show. So one can expect new episodes from the 7th of Feb, and pray like mad that Charlie stays sober enough to actually face the camera without drooling all over it!

Apparently, Sheen was supposed to stay in the rehab facility for a period of three months, but now his volte face sure shows a “real commitment� to getting better and staying sober! However its good news for the three hundred odd employees associated with the show, because a three month stint would have cost them thousands of dollars! In fact, in 2009, when Sheen went to rehab, the crew was only partially compensated.

Oh well Charlie boy, looks like you have to grow up now, because the lives and livelihoods of others are at stake. No more cocaine and sex for $30,000 for you…at least for a while, or so one can hope!

Who said that one can’t find love on a reality show? Chris Lambton is one hell of an exception! The former contestant on the Bachelorette might have lost out on wooing the star of the show, Ali Fedotowsky, but he’s on cloud nine right now, after having found “true love� with Peyton Wright – and this of course, is off camera, so there’s no fear of it being totally scripted!

According to Chris, the two met in a “Bachelor� function and are now in a long distance relationship. They chat a lot over the phone and on iChat! Aww, sounds like the stuff that dreams are made of. But the question is, how long will it last? After all, this is Hollywood!

For those of you, who are not aware, this isn’t exactly a new development, though it has come to light only recently, the two met in August last year and got along famously right away. According to Wright, she had been through a whole lot of serious relationships and suddenly she’d found a “kid� who was, in addition to being a genuine person, outspoken and funny, so they hit it off! Wonder what Chris makes of being called a “kid� by his lady love!

Now, Chris couldn’t be happier that he didn’t make it in the bachelor. He claims that while he was sitting at home, watching the show with his family, he actually got kind of freaked out, because he wanted to find true love, on his own, not in a situation where he was forced to compete with a ton of other guys! At the end, he had apparently decided not to do it and so it didn’t happen! Sounds to me like it’s a whole lot of sour grapes Chris!

Chris also claims to not watch “The Bachelor�; figures that he wouldn’t be too eager to see Brad Womack, considering that his girlfriend had been vying for his attentions last season! But apparently Payton is, because she thinks it’s dramatic. Hope Brad finds true love the second time around! Payton too is of the same mindset because she has publicly expressed that she hopes it works out for Brad.

So looks like there is some chance – albeit a very vague one- of finding true love in the world of reality TV! Just ask the not so new couple on the block…provided they last until you finally decide to of course!

Looks like, the man of the hour is Benjamin Millepied. This choreographer of the Black Swan managed to jete his way into the heart of Natalie Portman. Yesterday headlines had confirmed that the two were engaged and that they were expecting a baby together. But then before he manages to get the heart of one of America’s sweetheart we thought we’d do the honors and mention a few things that everyone should know about-

• Is his name as French as it really sounds? The answer is yes. This 33 year old has a last name, Millepied which is French and which basically means a thousand feet. This choreographer was born in Bordeaux.

• He doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk! Just since this blue eyed gorgeous hunk teaches doesn’t really mean that he can’t “do�. His mother was also a dancer. Millepied had started to study ballet when he was only 8 years old! And when he was 13 he headed the Conservatoire National in Lyon! Just at 13! When he was being trained at the School of American Ballet he was taken under the wing of Jerome Robbins. Some of the major players in the business who he’s worked with is Helgi Tomasson, Christopher d’ Amboise and also Christopher Wheeldon. In 1995 he joined the New York City Ballet corps and in 1998 be was a soloist. Also in 2002 he became the principle dancer.

• When he signed onto the Black Swan as the choreographer, he volunteered himself as partner for Portman and Mila Kunis. Kunis told Details Magazine this summer that whatever he had done, he did it so that she was able to cope up and he made sure that she didn’t look like a jackass. The director Darren Aronofsky also added that he wasn’t like an alien like a lot of people in the dance world were.

• Was he really a secret admirer of Natalie’s?? Well, in an interview about the Black Swan he said that he had really gotten into the role (the six line role). He also said that standing up to actors like Natalie he was completely blown away. He also specifically mentioned that he was amazed by Natalie who was amazing to watch. So we did get a hint of something going on out there didn’t we?

Angelina Jolie. The mere mention of her name makes most people think of a few words: beautiful, worldly, and above all admired. Yes, admired. Angelina seems to have completely reversed her reputation as a sultry goth chick with a penchant for knives, self inflicted pain, bisexuality and a questionable sex life, vials of blood and a preoccupation with thoughts of death. Now, Angelina is adored by millions, perhaps regarded with some skepticism and scrutiny by others, and by and large VERY followed.

This is the life of Angelina Jolie. It doesn’t make sense to some of us, and yet we just can’t seem to get enough media coverage on this mysterious and yet completely open book of a human being. Is it her uncanny and ethereal beauty that we all can’t get enough of, or her insistence on surprising us all with how she expresses herself, and the extent to which she lives her life, and I mean, really “lives” life.

True, some women may think of Angelina as a husband snatcher when she and Brad Pitt hooked up after months of denial and statements to the effect that they were “just friends’ with a deep admiration for each other. Still other people may question her sudden turn to a cleaner, more settled life of children (Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh to be exact) and charity. But can’t these people accept that even the wildest and most rebellious of individuals find peace and finally settle on what their true calling in life is. Or do they have a good point?

I may be one of those conflicted people actually. On one hand, I see the Angelina who is undeniably beautiful and fascinating, whom I can’t help but gaze in awe at when I see her face plastered on the gossip mags in line at the grocery store. On the other hand, I do have to question the fact that she seems to have no “girlfriends”, and that she always seems to be reeling the men in one by one, perhaps not by any true fault of her own but alternatively because “men just can’t help themselves”.

I mean, will every woman whose husband or significant other appears in a film with Angelina have to worry about their other half helplessly being drawn into Angelina’s man trap? That part of me as a woman regards her with great reluctance and suspicion, but yet I still can possibly find a way to rationalize this. All is fair in love and war. Right?
And then I wonder, why am I concerning myself so much with this person that I don’t even know?
