Celebrity breakups aren’t very simple. In fact there are a lot of them which is very notorious. Here we give you the scoop on the top five broken engagements in the world of the celebrities.

Looks like the couple had one of the best laid plans for their wedding but even the best ones don’t work out. But on the bright side at least there isn’t any scandal linked to this “ex couple”. Considering that fact looks like the couples been quite fortunate in that way.

Julia Roberts and Kiefer Sutherland

Now breaking an engagement isn’t a very easy thing to do but when you break all of your plans for a wedding which has been completely panned three days before it, then it’s very difficult to deal with something like that. Considering the fact that the venue was fixed and hundreds of A listers were invited, the breakup between Roberts and Sutherland is there in the top five broken engagements.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt

According to the story, Pitt had proposed to his sweetheart in 1996 during Thanksgiving. But in June of 1997 the couple was done. But the after math of the breakup was that there was a movie supped to be made with Paltrow and Pitt. Although the movie called “Duets” was made with Paltrow but then it didn’t have Pitt in it.

Ben Affleck and Jenifer Lopez

This relationship set off in the beginning of the year 2002. They were the cutest couple that Hollywood had ever seen and together they were known as Bennifer by the public. But then as the late summer wedding of theirs came near, after Gigi hadn’t done well on the screen and Brad have made the tabloids for going to strip clubs, although Lopez wanted to call the wedding off Bennifer still continued. But then as a date was set and guests were called, just three days prior to their wedding the couple called it off.

Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow

She was the music star who cheered him on, dedicated an entire album to him and even waited patiently till his divorce became final. She had even posed in a photo shoot in a wedding dress for a magazine. But unfortunately she couldn’t acquire the ring. Yes, this couple ended it in 2006 and three weeks later she was diagnosed with cancer.

Sarah Palin has proved yet again that she was totally unfit for her foray in politics. Yes, if you thought Levi Johnston’s hilarious entry into the world of politics was a funny story, then you my friend, have another think coming! Sarah Palin has topped her daughter’s ex again…in the “loser” department, no less!

A lady from Homer, which is in Alaska decided to make her feelings about Sarah Palin known to her and she had a really simple, yet classic way of expressing them. Waiting for Sarah, at Homer, was a thirty feet high banner which had written on it the following words “Worst Governor Ever” in big and bold black ink! That was gutsy!

So what did the former governor do? Instead of turning a blind eye, like any other seasoned politician would, she decided to actually confront the lady, in question! Wow! Sarah, looks like you learned a lot from politics….NOT! Oh wait; you were always the ultimate dumb blond where that was concerned!

So what was Sarah told? This gutsy lady, a teacher by profession, told her that in spite of swearing on the Bible, to look after the interests of the people and the state, she quit her position when certain err…green incentives were waved in front of her face!

Yup, pretty much! Sarah tried a little (lame) comeback of her own. She said something to the effect that she was honored that the lady wanted her to continue as governor and even went so far as to thank her!

Then, Sarah, who was accompanied by her daughter, Bristol, after being totally humiliated for chasing money and fame, told Bristol that she was really honored that the lady thought of her as a celebrity! Did we say dumb blond?

So what is Sarah doing these days anyway? She claims that she’s working really hard to get candidates who understand the needs of the people and the constituency and even protect the military interests of Alaska so they can keep fighting for heir rights! Uh! Right Sarah! We believe you.

You forgot to mention that you are also busy rolling in the dough! Funny thing is, Palin even had a post up about this encounter on Facebook and then had the audacity to blame the media about making an issue out of it! One little message for you Sarah – when will you learn?

It’s getting interesting in the teeny bopper world! Miley Cyrus and Taylor Momsen are headed for a full blown cat fight and, I’ve got to hand it to these two teenage sensations – they sure know how to cash in on their fame and court media attention for publicity.

They might just be sixteen and seventeen respectively, but they definitely know their PR. More so Taylor Momsen, because she’s dared to taken on Miley, who is so much more well known than her! A few months back, if you asked me, who Taylor Momsen was, I’d be like “Taylor, who?”. But now I know that she’s the front-woman of the hard rock band – The Pretty Reckless – and that little Jenny Humphrey of “Gossip Girl” fame is not really that little!

A week back, Momsen had struck out caustically at critics who compared her to Miley – both being girls of more or less the same age and in the same profession – saying that she wasn’t some Disney wannabe and that Miley was a part of the Disney bubblegum SH*T brood and she so was not! She also said that she had believed that the world was over that kind of repressive stuff. Looks like that’s a big no Taylor, because, last time I checked, everyone KNEW MILY CYRUS as opposed to….well the handful of people who know you!

So what did Miley do in response to Taylor’s comments? A well placed source said that she was absolutely furious about them. Moreover, Miley also apparently thought that Taylor was great, up until she made those nasty remarks.

The word used by her was “cool”. But according to Miley, Taylor is extremely desperate for recognition and fame and she’s going all about town in her underwear! She was quite sarcastic, when she wondered whether that bit was also because of Taylor’s love for music as well!

Umm, last time, we checked, Miley wasn’t dressed like a nun either. Doesn’t that strike you as somewhat hypocritical, given the way Miley has taken to dressing this past year? Another well placed source believes that, for all her faults, Miley has oodles of talent and the same cannot be said of Taylor and she knows it.

As a result of this, Taylor perceives Miley as a threat, which, to put it bluntly, Miley is! But hello? the two aren’t even in the same league!

Ah well, teenaged celebrities! We love to hate them! But one thing can be said of Miley, which cannot be said of Taylor – she’s a clean girl. Taylor on the other hand, smokes like a chimney and has a foul mouth, to top it off; she seems to favor the “raccoon” brand of make up! So as an example for teenagers, Miley’s the better one! Whose side are you on?

Hollywood’s power couple has found yet another way to donate an undisclosed sum (read insane amount!) of money to charity. Brad Pitt and his partner, Angelina Jolie are simply mind blowing! The two have the means and the earnest desire to make a difference to this ravaged world and they are doing, exactly that!

While both of them have been wining and dining in some of the finest restaurants in the world, because of Jolie’s “Salt” premiere, their lawyers have been battling it out in court on their behalf. Their lawyers have been fighting against all the false rumors which are centered on this most illustrious couple – and let’s face it, where rumors are concerned, these two sure take the cake!

Well, the good news is, the couple’s lawyers have emerged victorious and the couple has received an “undisclosed sum” of money from UK based magazine “News of The World” for the false allegations that they have been publishing with abandon, against these two.

And lord knows there are a lot of them floating around! Not that these allegations have had any effect on two of Hollywood’s finest, but then again, anything for charity!

So, all of you who got used to reading the weekly onslaught of juicy tidbits about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, I have some news for you – all of the “juicy” bits? They were all lies! So yeah, you’re going to have to find some other source of entertainment.

What pushed these two to finally bring in their lawyers? A fake allegation published by the said magazine in January this year, according to which the two had met with a Los Angeles based divorce lawyer, under conditions of extreme secrecy of course, in order to split up their assets since they were both headed for splitsville! They were apparently slated to work out custody details of their brood (they have six children!) and were in the midst of a messy separation.

But, obviously that wasn’t anywhere near the real picture as the “undisclosed sum” tells us! After this was first brought to the attention of the tabloid authorities, they had it removed, but up until now – when things are uglier than ever! – They refused to even acknowledge that they had published a pack of lies! Ah well, now we know the truth and “News of the World” is probably never going to publish any wrong allegations again. Too bad….since they make for such a nice read!

So what was the “News Of The World”s take on this? They kept mum, aside from confirming the fact that the transaction had in deed taken place. Not surprising, now all they should be seriously worried about saving face! And contrary to what all of us would like to believe, Brangelina are still very much together!

Guess who’s the newest celebrity mother to be? The buxom and beautiful Mariah Carey! I’m guessing I’m not the only one who’s noticed how her curves have blossomed of late! Could it be because motherhood’s knocking on the door? So what’s the deal with Mariah?

This forty year old bombshell reportedly decided to give up her next film…all of a sudden, which gives rise and fresh fuel to the rumors of her being with child. According to a source close to the couple, the two are overjoyed and really, really excited! Looks like Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are in for a spectacular year. First, “the wedding” take 2 and second, they might just end up becoming parents!

What makes this news even more believable? Mariah’s representative, who has been with her for a really long time – Cindi Berger – was quite non- committal about her answer. She didn’t come right out and deny the fact that her celebrated client is pregnant! She merely said that she wasn’t really at liberty to talk about details of Mariah’s personal life at the moment! Smart!

Apparently the couple wants to keep the entire affair hush hush! Why the secrecy? Search me! Maybe it’s because they believe that the quieter they keep the affair, the less stressed out Mariah will be during these nine months! Hmm…definitely sounds like a possibility!

So what really gave rise to these rumors and speculations? Quite a legitimate reason, let me tell you. Mariah and her husband, Nick, were seen outside a medical clinic in Los Angeles this May. A lot of people believe that Mariah has gotten started on hormone therapy and even IVF! Which could be the reason behind her ample weight gain. But we believe otherwise!

Moreover, if the couple’s New Year’s resolution is anything to go by, this is entirely possible! The two decided it was definitely time to start a family, last year. They were apparently completely thrilled at the prospect. Mariah apparently considers herself lucky because she’s found such a loving partner in Nick and because her career is pretty much soaring, but her prime goal in life? Motherhood!

According to reliable sources, the twosome had resolved to have a baby this year, by any means possible! So yeah, if Nature was dead against it, they would go the medical way or even go in for adoption! Yep, those two really are serious about starting a family this year! Looks like they are already getting around making their wish come true!

If that wasn’t enough, the cozy twosome has already lined up quite a number of reputable adoption agencies! Here’s hoping Mariah’s baby turns out to be as gorgeous as her!
