3. Here’s an especially romantic tip. Set an alarm to wake up early and make it a point to watch the sunrise with your spouse. Few things beat the sheer beauty of the sun rise!

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Living today’s fast paced life is almost like living in a battlefield! It is as though every morning one wakes up to do war and if you’re not up to it….well you know what they say about survival of the fittest! But here are some amazing tips to help you get rid of those everyday annoyances!

• Right before you leave your house, check your coat or sweater for lint or fur from pets! It’s quite shocking how unattractive that makes you look and if you are headed for a meeting, it makes an awful first impression! Use an old razor for it!

• Conversing with people and about things you are least interested in can be quite a task, especially after a heavy workday! You need to put on your best face and pretend to listen raptly to all that’s being said or make a graceful exit! Who said we couldn’t audition for acting in the movies? All you need is practice!

• Try to master the art of telling the time without the aid of a watch or clock! It’s very important!

• Getting drunk and facing a killer hangover the next day is something really commonplace. You have two choices – either let the hangover disrupt your entire day or not! Stick to a carb and vitamin schedule or even a ginseng regimen…it works!

• You need to be able to find your way around in the dark so start chewing on those carrots! No, you’re not a secret agent, but someone who’s too lazy to switch on all the lights in the hall to head to the kitchen and locate the fridge!

• Learn the art of reading body language; it’s going to be an invaluable asset! You’ll be able to tell if you’re being lied to or not and as we all know, that’s really important.

• Learn to read the skies. Observe carefully to figure out whether it will rain or not. Who needs the weather forecast?

• Find out in which direction you are headed without the aid of a compass. This is extremely valuable, especially if you are on unfamiliar ground.

• Try to master the art of locating your car in a crowded parking lot. How? Just hold that remote controlled fob near your head and hit it against your skull to activate the alarm and your ears will take you in the right direction!

• Last, but not the least, learn to use a credit card to pick a lock! It’s most handy when you’ve realized that you’ve left the keys in!

Top 10 Tips to Help You Keep Your Computer Clean

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

One of the things which constantly plague us is a virus. It seems that no matter what anti virus you use, your computer just cannot get enough of these viruses. But here the top ten tips to help you steer clear of them!

• First off and most obvious, if I might add, do install a proper and reliable anti virus software. It is the single most important step that you can take, to keep your computer clean. It’s good to use trusted software such as Norton or QuickHeal. An antivirus which constantly runs in the background, while you carry on with your work is perfect!

• Try and adjust the settings of your anti virus software such that it starts automatically, when you boot the computer. That way, even if you do forget to scan an attachment or file, it’s going to get scanned anyway. Plus, you might forget to run a scan on a particular day, so why not get it to start on its own?

• Frequently update your antivirus software. An anti virus software is as good as useless if it isn’t regularly updated. After all, the nature of viruses are getting increasingly more complex day by day, you need to ensure that your software can deal with it.

• If you have a setting which makes your computer automatically open all attachments, do de-activate it immediately. It’s like suicide! You must scan them, no matter how reliable the source may be.

• Did you know that, contrary to popular belief, it’s not just the internet which causes the virus raid on your computer? Data CDs are equally villainous! DO NOT automatically start data cds!

• Don’t share CDs, or more specifically Data CDs. It might be a totally well meaning gesture, but you never know what might be contained in them. Don’t underestimate them!

• If you are in the habit of frequently downloading programs off the net, do change this habit. No matter how much you might want to download a particular program, if you aren’t sure whether the source is reliable, don’t get it!

• Before using any kind of file, from any source, scan them thoroughly. You may not know it, but you might just pick up a virus of some sort from them!

• A little bit of common sense always comes in handy, use it!

Top Tips To be an Efficient Sales Personnel

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

So, you’ve decided to make the sales industry your vocation, because you’ve heard some amazing success stories. Fair enough, but the question is, do you have what it takes to be a successful salesman? Maybe you do, maybe you don’t. You’ll never find out until you try your hardest! In fact, shy, diminutive people have discovered a knack for sales just by following these tips!

• First off, the basic and most important criterion for being a good salesman is to know your product through and through. Look it up, research it and find out everything about it and how it’s made. That way you’ll have a definite advantage over your colleagues when the going gets tough.

• Next, you need to have a thorough knowledge about your target market and the people you’re trying to sell the product to. It won’t do you any good if you’re trying to sell something specifically designed for school going kids to those at college!

• When you’re starting off a conversation with a customer. Try a different approach. For example, if you’re trying to sell cosmetics, you can say something like “Your skin looks beautiful, what do you use”? You can then go on to say that your customer’s skin will blossom even more if they use such and such products!

• Sales is like gardening. If you don’t water your plants, they’re not going to grow into full fledged trees. Similarly, if you don’t perform follow-ups, you won’t find customers returning to yo0u all that often. Give people the impression that you genuinely care about their needs and problems!

• When you’re building a clientele, don’t always look to expand it. Underestimating your existing customer base is suicidal. Make the old loyalists feel special! That way you’ll have more recommendations coming your way. A special discount or two wouldn’t do you any harm!

• Keep a record of your sales. It might seem like a waste of time in the beginning, but do trust me, it most definitely is not! It will actually go a long way in making sales an easy process easy for you!

• Do be persistent. Sales is tough and you’ll have to deal with rude people on a regular basis. But the important thing to remember is that you have to be persistent. Never give up. Be soft spoken and courteous at all times. It will do you a load of good.

Top Tips For A Relaxing Spree!

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Summer is here and with that is a familiar longing to just pack your bags and take a break somewhere exotic. After all, who can do without a “recharge” once in a while? Just look at the mobile phones we use, in order to work properly, they need to be recharged everyday! But, sadly, we don’t have such privileges, but getting a recharge maybe once or twice a year is definitely on the cards and if it isn’t, then you jolly well should make it a habit!

So what should you keep in mind for our summer vacation spree? Here are some helpful tips to guide you through.

• Do ensure that you pack right. This depends on your destination. The best thing you can do is bring along coordinated clothes which you can mix and match. It really does save a lot of space in that suitcase (or wait, should that be those suitcases?). Plus, if you can buy things, you don’t have to lug it all the way from home.

• A summer vacation is incomplete without loads of sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. After all, you don’t want to get all sun burnt at the beginning of your vacation and remember, the UV rays are getting stronger every moment!

• Don’t forget that camera. I know this is a fairly obvious item, but you’ll be surprised by how many people forget to bring this essential along on their trips. Or worse, you might just end up forgetting to get batteries or a charger or even a memory card. So do remember to bring your camera and all the necessary equipment to ensure that it works properly!

• Be a bit flexible. Don’t have a tight schedule because the purpose of this vacation is relaxation. Moreover, you never know how you’ll feel when, so always keep all your options open. Make plans which you can change easily if required. Moreover, do take into considerations delayed flights and traffic jams!

• While it’s all well to be prepared for the rays of the sun to strike, it’s also not acceptable to presume that you won’t encounter any rainy or stormy weather. Or, even cool weather. If you’ve packed only light tee shirts and shorts, you need to ensure that there is enough room in your luggage to fit in a basic warm jacket and some rain gear.

• Lastly, be prepared for an emergency. Always carry a first aid box.
