“How I Met Your Mother” actor Neil Patrick Harris is expecting twins. Although, Harris who plays Barney Stinson a player on the show. Reality could be far from that. The actor has not only been with only one partner for many, many years, he is now planning on starting up a family with his partner, David Burtka. Yes this gay couple is expecting a pair of twins thanks to a surrogate.
Harris had confirmed this bit of news on Twitter saying that he and David would be expecting twins in the fall. He also said that they are extremely nervous as well as excited and that they are hoping that the press will provide then with some privacy. So it looks like Harris is going to completely have his hands full this coming fall. The baby which is going to be coming via a surrogate will be arriving sometime this October. So looks like the dads will be allowed to celebrate with a lot of champagne.
According to a source this happy couple has already started to think about various plans for a baby shower. Looks like Neil Patrick Harris has another reason to celebrate apart from the fact that he won three Emmy’s. Burtka, who also made an appearance on “How I Met Your Mother” and is also a chef was seen with his beau (who is also multi talented) at the Hollywood Bowl. Here Harris had directed a production of “Rent”.
But we do have to keep in mind that this isn’t really the first time that any news about Harris’s parenthood has been discussed. There’s been speculation about this subject for a very long time. It was reported that Harris and Burtka had gone to a surrogate agency which is situated in LA sometime last year to start the ball which will help to expand their family. But then the news wasn’t really very true.
But since we see that Harris himself as confirmed on Twitter looks like the news might just be completely true this time. The couple who has been together for 6 years can finally start decorating a nursery together. But then any sort of confirmation from reps of Harris is yet to be heard. Till then we are only relying on twitter for any sort of news about the babies and we hope that we get correct information.
